On World Forest Day, Odisha's Department of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change issued an updated Gazette featuring corrected boundary descriptions. This rectification resolves developmental challenges previously faced by the forest and revenue departments. The revised Gazette now mandates geo-referencing for all Odisha Forest divisions to geo-reference their forestland. Odisha stands as India's pioneer, notifying geo-referenced forest land boundaries for improved governance. SPARC feels proud to be the State Level Technical Partner, aiding the process since 2019. We provide crucial technology and execution support for comprehensive forest land mapping across the state to reinforce effective forest management.
