Orientation Workshop on geo-referencing of Forestland in Odisha at Paralakhemundi Forest Division.

As State Level Technology Partners for Georeferencing of Forestlands in Odisha, SPARC organised a training workshop focusing on the intricacies of the project at Paralakhemundi Forest Division in Berhampur Forest Circle on July 4, 2023.

The workshop was presided over by the District Collector Gajapati and DFO Parlakhemundi Forest Division. Senior officials from the State's Forest and Revenue Departments, Scientists from ORSAC and representatives of Forest IT & Geomatics cell, office of the PCCF & HOFF Odisha actively participated in the workshop.

The objective of this workshop was to impart awareness on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) notified by Government of Odisha to undertake the forest land geo-referencing exercise in pursuance of the directives of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in the Lafarge cae matter.
