Geospatial technology plays a pivotal role in empowering urban slum management, providing precise mapping, spatial analysis, and data-driven insights. SPARC Pvt. Ltd. exemplifies this by implementing the Jaga Mission initiated by the Odisha Government.

The Jaga Mission aims to grant land and property rights to urban slum residents in Odisha, benefiting around 300,000 to 400,000 families across 1,200 slums. Geospatial technology expedites the project, targeting completion by fiscal year 2023-24.

The mission begins with a comprehensive survey of urban slums, collecting data on household numbers, dwelling sizes, and land characteristics. Geospatial technology-driven profiling and assessment evaluate slums, facilitating infrastructure planning and development. Eligible slum residents receive land ownership certificates, promoting gender equality.

Community involvement is emphasized, and the mission brings various advantages, including improved living conditions, access to government services, and fostering inclusive and sustainable urban development. Geospatial technology's pivotal role in the Jaga Mission uplifts slum dwellers' lives and ensures a brighter future for Odisha.
